1. Paul is talking not about heaven, but
about now.
2. We want to live for self, please self, satisfy
self.
B. The Divine
Surgeon.
1. There is only part of you that is like God; your
spirit.
2. The Holy Spirit invades your soul and changes
it.
II. The Process of
Brokenness.
A. The
Word.
1. The
Spirit of God uses the living Word of God to cut into your life and
divide your soul and spirit so that you do not drag
your spirit down with the sins of your soul.
2. Notice that the Word is active and living.
