I. The need for
brokenness.
A. Our
makeup.
B. A dead
spirit.
1. They were
removed from the presence of God.
C. A scarred
soul.
1. The
problem is due to what the Bible calls the old man or the sin
nature.
2. The
reason you need to grow spiritually is that your soul has been
scarred and that scar tissue needs to be
removed.
D. Breaking the
shell.
1. If you
want to get to the core you must get beyond the
shell.
2. We have
been scarred by sin some more than others based on our sin
and the effects on us of the sins of others.
