                            I Thess. 5:18
 
A.  The first characteristic of deep roots is continuous gratitude.
 
     Why should we always give thanks?
     1.  It honors God.
          a.  You need to learn to thank God not just for what he does, but who he is.
          b.  Gratitude is the healthiest human emotion.
 
      2.  It creates fellowship.
 
     3.  It develops my faith.
 
     4.  It serves others.
          a.  The ministry of appreciations raises the value of people.
 
     5.  It is a witness to unbelievers.
          a.  As a believer you are never to complain or argue.
          b.  An evangelical is somebody who believes the good news.
          c.  You can bless people by being grateful.
 
There are four personal benefits you get from developing radical gratitude:
     1.  It keeps me in God's will.
    
     2.  It makes me better not bitter.
 
     3.  It defeats the devil.
          a.  If you can learn to thank God in everything in your life you just shut out the devil.
 
     4.  It causes miracles.
          a.  God doesn't answer whines.
          b.  The point is he thanked God in advance
