A Mature Person

What maturity isn't:
1.  It"s not age.
2.  It's not appearance.
3.  It's not achievement.
4.  It's not academics.
5.  Maturity is determined byattitude.
 
                5 Marks of Maturity
 
I.  A mature person is positiveunderpressure. (James 1:2-4)
     A.  Christianity is alife, not a religion.
 
II.  A mature person is sensitivetopeople.  (James 2:8)
 
III.  A mature person has mastered hismouth. (James 3:2)
     A.  Self controlcomes from tongue control.
     B.  If it doesn'tbuild somebody else up, don't say it.
     C.  "Speak thetruth in love" means the right attitude, the right timing,theright place, the right location, and the rightmotive.
 
IV.  A mature person is a peacemakernot a troublemaker.
(James 4:1)
     A.  The mark of amature person is the lack of conflict in his own life.
     B.  Two reasons forconflict:
          1. Selfishness.  (James 4:3)
          2. Judgementalism.  (James 4:11-12)
 
V.  A mature person is patientandprayerful.
     (James 5:7,11:16)
