is appart of God's purposes for the world

B. Government
leaders
are servants of God. (3-4)
C. Civil Gov't is
only temporary. (I Cor. 15:24)
II. The purposes of Gov't.
A. To protect human
life. (Gen.9:6; Ex. 20:13)
B. To protect
personal and property rights. (Ex. 20:14-17)
C. To handle
disputes between people. (Deut. 1:12-17)
D. To punish
lawbreakers. (Rom. 13:4; I Peter 2:13-15)
III. Our responsibility and relationship to
the Gov't:
A. I am a citizen of
two worlds. (Phil.3:20;Eph.2:19;Luke20:22-25)
B. My primary
obedience is to God. (Acts 4:13-20; 5:27-29; Matt. 6:33)
C. I am to obey
the law whenever possible. (Titus 3:1)
