                       God Always Keeps His Promises!
 
I.  The setting aside of Israel is only partial, not complete.
     A.  Three different proofs:
          1.  Paul himself is proof.
          2.  There has always been a remnant.
          3.  They were chosen by grace.
 
II.  The setting aside of Israel is temporary, not complete.
     A.  Why were they set aside?
          1.  So that they Gentiles might be saved.
          2.  To make Israel envious.
          3.  If their transgression means riches for the world and their loss means riches for the Gentiles how much greater riches will their fullness bring.
 
     B.  Israel was chosen to do about 8 things:
          a.  To proclaim the existence of God to everyone.
          b.  To be a priest nation.
          c.  To reveal the Messiah.
          d.  To preserve and transmit Scripture.
          e.  To show the faithfulness of God.
          f.  To witness to His unity, one God.
          g.  To show the blessedness of serving God.
          h.  To reveal to the world God's grace.
 
III.  God's faithfulness.  (verses 33-36)
 
IV.  Seven things that you can count on.
     A.  God will keep his promises.
     B.  If we're unfaithful,  He will remain faithful.
     C.  God can be counted on to keep you growing.
     D.  The faithfulness of God strengthens and protects.
     E.  He can be counted on when I am tempted.
     F.  He will forgive us.
     G.  Sometimes suffering is the will of God.
